Final year exams

While I was in Bintan for my company's conference I got an sms from Alvin. He said that Amanda scored 94.4 marks for Geography (a great improvement from 57.5 marks in the previous term). Then on the following day, 17 Oct he smsed again to say that he and the kids are going out to celebrate. Amanda came in 3rd position in her class for the overall exams (out of 40 pupils)! I called Amanda to congratulate her. I wanted to give her a big hug but couldn't as I was in Bintan. She has studied so hard and all that hard work really paid off! I am so proud of her.

Matthew's exams starts today, 29 Oct. First paper was English. Over the weekend, I've tried to push him very hard to study. His concentration is very poor and he gets distracted easily and gave lots of excuses to delay any form of studying. Earlier, I've told Matt that as an incentive for doing well in his exams we (Alvin and I) would buy him a PSP if he can get 5th position in class (he ranked 9th position in the last term). Since we bought Amanda a piano, we thought it would be fair to buy him a PSP (provided he prove to us that he is deserving it). Now, I seriously have my doubts and I pray for a miracle to happen!
