Amanda's 16th Birthday - Best Birthday Present!

The constant check ups are killing us! We're so tired of waking up early on Saturdays to go for the check ups. Not to mention the stress Amanda and I are feeling.

But Thank God! The medicine and eye drops help to bring down Amanda's eye pressure. Eye pressure is back to normal now. It's definitely a pleasant birthday present for Amanda.

Tonight, we will be going to Auntie Jean's and Uncle Larry's condo to celebrate Amanda's 16th birthday and Grandma's 80th birthday. Thanks to Auntie Jean for organising this.

Shape Run 2010

Phyllis backed out at the last minute because she was sick. So I went alone and completed the run. After the run, I collected my goodie bag and went home. I'm not sure how long more I will be doing the run thingy... I guess if I don't sign up for runs I will be lazy and stop running. Oh no...I'll be fat and I hope it won't happen!

Pap Smear

Finally dragged myself to see Dr Lim for my usual check up and pap smear. The fibroid is still there. It's about 1.5cm in size (it was 1cm a year ago) and nothing to worry about according to Dr Lim. Just have to keep monitoring.

Pamela's birthday

Pam craved for Zam Zam's nasi bryani and murtabak. At her request, we went there for lunch. After that, we strolled along Haji Lane. A very interesting place with lots of little boutiques. The clothes and stuff there are unusual and unique. Pam bought 2 blouses and a pair of shoes. Phyllis was a silver ring. I bought a t-shirt, a hairband for Amanda and a gian rubic cube for Matt.

That same evening, we went to Uncle John's house and met up with the rest of The Chong family. We are celebrating Jermaine's 5th birthday.

Bao Li's 15th Birthday

For Bao Li's birthday, we gave her t-shirts and a hongbao of $100. On top of that, we treat the birthday girl and her family to dinner at a Peranakan Restaurant near Serangoon.

Medisave claim for Cellcept

Finally, some good news! Dr Lim said that his doctor friend will help teach his nurse a way to claim Medisave for Cellcept! Let's keep our fingers crossed!

Meeting up with Chiquita

It took more than 20 years for Chiquita and I to be reunited. Unfortunately, we met face to face at SGH. Her father was hospitalised there; he is critically ill and under ICU.

Chiquita and I were childhood friends. Actually, she was and still is my best friend. We have known each other since Primary school days. We know each other's families, we lived in the same neighbourhood in Toa Payoh Lor 1, and we go to the same school at St Anthony's Convent. After she got married and migrated to Sydney we have lost touch with each other.

It was such a good feeling to finally meet my old friend! We have so much to talk about and catch up with one another. Now we can keep in touch on FB!
