Bukit Timah Hill

We have conquered Bukit Timah Hill about 4 to 5 times. Matt was just a toddler when we first climbed the hill together as a family. Half way up, papa had to carry him on the shoulders. But this was the first time Bao Li, Uncle Larry and Auntie Jean joined us. Larry and Jean found the climb quite tough. Bao Li said it was fun and next time she wanted to go by the jungle track. It was good exercise for all of us. I'd wish the family would exercise more often together.

After that, we had dinner at the old Bukit Timah hawker centre.

Christmas 2009

Christmas was a quite affair. We went to midnight mass at St Mary's, and to Ah Kong's house for a little celebration.

On Boxing Day, we went to Auntie Jennie's house. As usual, the kids received loads of presents from Auntie Jennie and her family.

SCB Run 2009

It was my first time participating in the SCB run and my first time doing a 10km run, twice my usual distance of 5km. As I didn't train at all it was quite a struggle for me. After I reached the 5km mark I had no more stamina and started to walk. Wee Ling and I started the run together but we lost each other after a while. After the run, we met again at Starbucks City Hall. Wee Ling was supposed to meet her friend but decided to go home. We were both so tired.

Post Bangkok trip

I can never get tired of BKK. Needless to say, it was yet another satisfying trip. Bao Li met up with her penpal, Mind and we all had dinner together at Somboon Seafood Restaurant.

Overall, everyone was pleased with their bargain buys, especially the ladies' lingere. And we just can't get enough of Chatchuchak Market!

Baiyoke Sky, the hotel where we stayed was pretty good. They had a wide spread of food at the daily buffet breakfast. The only disadvantage is that it's quite far from the main shopping area.

At the last minute, we even managed to squeeze in spa and foot massage.
