Andreas' birthday

It was Andreas' birthday. JP and Leong bought a cake for him as instructed by Allie (she was on leave). We sang him a birthday song and I helped to cut and distributed the cake to those gathering around.

Not long after, his wife and kids came. They also bought a cake for him. Andreas had a second round of birthday singing and cutting of the cake.

Andreas' kids, Johnny and Clara are so adorable! Mummy is expecting the 3rd child.

Forum on visual impairment in children

Today's forum is a joint forum by RP Society and Beyond Vision (our Parents' Support Group) held at SNEC. Lay Hong made all the arrangements with Dr Wong Meng Ee, President of RP Society. She managed to get Dr Leo to give a presentation at the forum, as a guest speaker.

The turn out was quite good. A few special needs teachers turned up. Mrs Goh and another teacher from the Lighthouse School also attended the forum. Gozde whose baby girl has cataract, came with her husband. Jean and her husband came with their visually impaired son. We managed to recruit these 2 new members for Beyond Vision.

Star Cruise Holiday to Penang & Phuket - from 7 to 10 June 2009

Richard and Lillian are the regular customers of star cruise. They have travelled on the star cruises 138 times. The are a lovely couple and they were also good company, very jovial and lots of fun. Matt especially loved listening to Uncle Richard's interesting stories.

In Penang, die, die, must eat the ice chendol, Penang Laksa and Penang Char Kway Teow. On a very hot day, the ice chendol was so shiok!

In Phuket Richard and Lillian were our tour guides. They brought us to the Jim Thompson Factory outlet, Cashew Nut Factory, Jewellery store, Lotus Shopping Centre and the Festival Shopping Centre.

Kayla, their granddaughter is so adorable. She is an easy going and sweet tempered child. She seems to like Matthew and allowed him to carry her.

As always, the family love to go on a cruise holiday, especially the kids.
