Singapore Discovery Centre

Alvin had free tickets to the Discovery Centre. Originally, we had planned to watch the interactive "dinosaur" movie. However, in a rush to go out I had forgotten to bring the tickets. Instead, the boys tried air rifle shooting. It was a first time for Matt. So he had lots of misses. Alvin was army trained and he was quite a sharp shooter. He did not missed the targets.

Cats Musical

Amanda will be watching the Cats Musical at the Esplanade Theatre this afternoon. The ticket price of $89 was subsidised by Edusave and partly paid by the school. I thought it was a great experience for all the kids. I would love to watch the musical with Amanda but the ticket price was too expensive.

My very own Netbook

After much deliberations, I finally bought a Lenovo Netbook at Funan Centre. Luckily, I spoke to my colleague beforehand and he taught me to look out for certain technical specs. I am so happy I got what I wanted at a good price. Now, I have my very own Netbook! No need to "fight" with Matt for the PC or borrow Alvin's laptop anymore. It's a good thing we have a wireless network so all of us can login to the internet at the same time.

Now I can do my course homework and all kinds of stuff using my own Netbook.

School Carnival

We went to Bao Li's school carnival today to show our support for her. We bought cookies from her class stall. We also bought herbal tea eggs, muah chee and drinks from Uncle Larry and Auntie Jean's stalls. The afternoon was extremely hot, and the kids weren't in the mood to play any games. Instead, we sat at the canteen to eat the food we bought. Matthew was so restless and can't wait to go home. Finally, Alvin picked us up after 2 hours there.

Pictured here is a boy getting 'dunked'. He sacrificed himself to help raise funds for the school. The other children seemed to enjoy it. They screamed and laughed so loudly when he went down.
